'On this CD I go back to my roots and do what I do best, namely singing power ballads', says Rene Froger in an interview about his CD Home Again. The CD contains 16 American-inspired new songs, most of which were written by his regular lyricist John van Katwijk. Home Again is a beautiful commercial listening record to which a lot of attention has been paid. As an only side note, it can be noted that
… Rene Froger sometimes tries too hard to create a voice that is as dark brown as possible. Most successful songs are the single Never Fall In Love, For The First Time and an 'unplugged' version of Babyface's When Can I See You Again. How Do I Live is a duet with soap actress Bobbie Eakes and with the American ladies trio Wild Orchid he sings I Will Show You Mine. Two days after its release, the CD was already good for 'gold'.
