A boy's dream came true for the Dutch Travoltas. They recorded their third CD in New York with former Ramones drummer Marky Ramone as producer. The music has become less punk and more poppy. The Beach Boys-like vocals are striking. This sound is most closely approximated in the fully a-cappella sung "2000". Brian Wilson would be proud of the choirs that can be heard in songs like "Can't be wrong",
… "I want to believe" and "Modern world". The punk idea can only be found in the sound of the guitars, the energetic playing and the length of the album: just over half an hour. (W.vd.Z.) _more
