In 1988, former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman organized the project AIMS (Ambitions, Ideas, Motivation, Success), with the aim of giving emerging bands a chance to record one day in a professional studio and then perhaps a contract. This AIMS gala, however, was a benefit evening for a London children's hospital, with a large number of stars performing. Elvis Costello, Chrissie Hynde, Chris Rea
… and an all-star band including Wyman himself, Phil Collins, Ronnie Wood, Terence Trent D'Arby, Ian Dury and Eddy Grant. As is often the case with these types of venues, everything seems a bit messy, but the line-up is not bad. (IV)more
