Joe Satriani is the absolute hero of rock guitarists. With his shaved head and sunglasses, he looks just as flashy as his guitar playing sounds. Satriani taught people like and Kirk Hammett from but never went beyond cult status. The first DVD, recorded in 2006 in California, shows Satriani in good shape. He is clearly not averse to pounding straightforward hard rock, but he especially impresses
… when he slows down. Those more subtle pieces are unfortunately in the minority; here it is mainly a guitarist who is busy impressing a room with lightning-fast and fat riffs. In the extras we find video clips and behind-the-scenes footage of the studio and the stage.
