In the second half of the nineties Gerard Joling had fallen back into anonymity, but at the end of the nineties things are going so well again that Geer can write about himself without irony on his website: 'Gerard Joling, a sober boy from Schagen, has achieved where he always dreamed of: the top! '. You have to admire him for it. Stout & Nieuw seems to be Joling's annual party. The singer sold
… out Ahoy 'three times with this concept. Together with a few well-known guests (Karin Bloemen, Waylon and posthumous / interactive contributions by AndrĂ© Hazes and Rita Hovink), Geer brought the hall into ecstasy. This double DVD also features the singer and his extravagant outfits backstage. The viewer can see how the singer prepares for these exciting performances. His mega hit Make Me Crazy drives the audience so crazy that Joling even has to play it twice. Nice to see for everyone who was there. Not in the least because the partying public often and often comes into the picture. (PdK)more
