In the eighties of the last century, the Irish group Clannad conquered the world with its special mix of traditional Irish folk, pop and new age. With her dreamy voice, singer Máire Brennan personified the imaginative world of Celtic spirituality. Like her famous sister Enya, Máire also started a solo career in the 1990s. To get rid of misspellings and pronunciations, she changed her first name
… Máire to Moya in 2002. The album Signature was created under special circumstances. The predecessor Two Horizons took another two and a half years, but ten weeks turned out to be enough for Signature thanks to Brennan's very strong seven-piece band. The band members were deeply involved in creating the music to Brennan's personal lyrics. In a creative and productive atmosphere, twelve tracks with catchy melodies and lively rhythms were created in her own studio. Compared to the serene album Two Horizons, the songs sound more compact and heavier. A varied album! (SvdP)more
