The Easo Choir was founded in 1937, during the Spanish Civil War, by a group of men who, because of their political beliefs, were not admitted to the 'regular' choirs. These men were residents of the Basque Country. Because the Basques have always strongly resisted external domination, Basque culture has been able to keep its own character. Very well-arranged, clear and beautifully (colorfully) illustrated. The CD features Basque secular a cappella choral music. (SvdP) _more
