In memory of Professor Alain Daniélou (1902-1994), Rounder Records releases the fifty-album series "Anthology of world music" on CD. Daniélou was the founder and first director of the International Institute for Comparative Music Studies and Documentation in Berlin. He was one of the initiators of the ethnomusicological documentation that resulted in the above series, which consisted of three
