Earth & Fire is established in the late sixties in the Hague suburb Voorburg. The basis is formed by brothers Chris (guitar) and Gerard Koerner (keys) but only with the arrival of singer Jerney Kaagman the successful occupation is a fact. … the early seventies the success expanding gradually to other European countries, especially Germany. Remarkably, the catchy singles accompanied by pretentious albums, according to all the fashion of that time. Mid seventies heyday seems to be over, but the band in 1979 still scored the biggest hit of his career: Weekend. It turns out a final burp, three years later, the group disbanded. Kaagman throws himself years later as a representative of music making Netherlands, and chairman of the musicians union BV Pop.
