Pianist Dave Brubeck (1920-2012) was in the fifties of the last century, the birth of the cool jazz, relaxed jazz sound of the American West Coast. Dave Brubeck Quartet was the house band of the Black Hawk, a famous nightclub in San Francisco. Brubeck played from 1951 to 1967 with his quartet, which also consisted of Joe Morello (drums), Eugene Wright (bass) and Paul Desmond (sax). The Take Five
… song from the hit album Time Out, composed by Paul Desmond, became a jazz classic. Brubeck composed after 1967 also works for orchestras and choirs. He continued to make music age, like most of his children. Four of his sons (Darius, Dan, Matthew and Chris Brubeck) also brought music.more
