The Dutch musician, sound engineer, arranger and conductor Dick Bakker (Blaricum, 1947) was frequently involved in the National and Eurovision Song Contest. He wrote the music and the arrangement of Ding A Dong, with which Teach In won the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest. In 1992 he became chief conductor of the Metropole Orchestra. He succeeded in modernizing the orchestra and secured many commissions.
He has performed with his orchestra at home and abroad. Bakker said goodbye to the Metropole Orchestra in 2005.more
