For someone who wants to delve into the extensive oeuvre of Tabu-Ley Rochereau, this double album seems an ideal starting point. Chronologically all the most important songs of Rochereau come along. So CD 1 starts in the early sixties when he sang and composed in Orchester African Jazz. … music. In 1963 Rochereau decided to stand on its own two feet. He was successively band leader of African Fiesta, Afrisa International and Onaza.
