The Broadway musical Aida has been successfully translated to the Dutch market by Joop van de Ende. The music for this musical, which was inspired by Verdi's eponymous opera, was written by Elton John and ranges from rock to pop and even reggae. The lyrics of Tim Rice were translated into Dutch by Martine Bijl and lead actors Chaira Borderslee (Aida) and Bastian Ragas (Radames) skilfully sing through
… the repertoire. The fans can enjoy singing along to the songs because all the lyrics are printed in the booklet. This CD is a nice souvenir for anyone who enjoyed themselves during one of the performances of this hit musical. (MS)more
