Shortly after the recordings for this album, Chicago blues singer and guitarist Jimmy Rogers passed away. He performed in the 1940s with Sonny Boy Williamson and Big Bill Broonzy, among others, and in the 1950s he played with harmonica player Little Walter in Muddy Waters' first electrically amplified band. Rogers had a great influence on the British sixties blues rock generation and thus also on
… the guitarists afterwards. On his latest CD Blues Blues Blues he is assisted and honored by quite a few big names such as Jeff Healy, Kim Wilson (harmonica), pianist Johnnie Johnson, Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. Through their contributions, Rogers 'signature guitar playing and vocals and strong performances of Blues All Day Long, Trouble No More, Don't Start Me To Talkin' Blues Blues Blues is a nice tribute and a worthy farewell.
