Revelation is the third CD by the Ohio boy band 98 Degrees. Just like on its predecessor , the same risk-free, sugar-sweet sounding ballads prevail on this album. As a result, the album suffers most from the lack of variation. Only once in a while is the adventure sought, such as in the uptempo Latin-like Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche) and Dizzy, where the vocals, like example, were put through
… the synthesizers. Admittedly, the harmony vocals are beautiful and the fact that the boys wrote most of the songs themselves instead of hiring a battery of renowned composers, like most fellow boy bands, deserves respect, but it could be a bit more exciting. (CK)more
