Most of the record consists of sultry, lazy ballads as we heard before from 'nu soul' stars like Erykah Baduh, Angie Stone and India Arie. Without exception they score a satisfactory quality, but unfortunately the album as a whole doesn't really get going anywhere and would have benefited from some extra up-tempo songs. Just some songs (Boogie 2nite, Make Ur Move, Call Me) are provided with the trusted Timbaland quality mark. To make up for it, a bonus track from Missy Elliot has been added: a special version of the old Big Spender. (MS)more
