The fuss that arose about this turned Raymzter (himself half-Moroccan, half-Dutch) into a public figure that was widely discussed in all media. In 2001 he won the Grote Prijs van Nederland in the hip-hop and r & b category and was featured on the Dutch-hop compilation album Homegrown, including the strong Kaapwerk (here as a hidden track). Rayalist is his first full-fledged album and stands out for its politically tinted lyrics. Raymzter identifies various problems in today's society and is clearly concerned - it is not without reason that he cites Public Enemy as the most important source of inspiration. This social involvement distinguishes Raymzter from most other Dutch-speaking rappers and as a result he is rightly seen as an asset. (IV)more
