The four members of the British band Editors met at Stafford University. After graduation they settled in Birmingham and all their attention could be given to music. At the beginning of 2005 their first single Bullets was released and after the follow-up Munich the British press started to label Editors as a potential new supergroup. … listen to The Back Room, you get the feeling that this must have been an unhappy decade after all. Their sound is often dark, with an undertone full of doom and darkness. But at the same time also compelling and melodic. The group is therefore often compared to the American , which goes back to for exampleand . The fact that the voice of singer Tom Smith is reminiscent of Joy Divisions Ian Curtis only reinforces this.
