Along with guitarist Brendan Perry, singer Lisa Gerrard was one of the main members of Dead Can Dance, a group that released about seven albums from the mid-eighties to the nineties. … she has pursued a successful solo career in which she lent her rich counter-voice to various soundtracks, including Gladiator and Ali. On her album The Silver Tree she elaborates on her successes in film music. No songs here that you can easily sing along. The music is absolutely cinematic with lots of atmospheric electronic undertones, minimalist in structure, without head or tail.
