Gerard Joling himself had almost forgotten that he was a singer by trade. This was due to the 'hustle and bustle around his little person' as he puts it. Because Joling did well on the commercial channels as a presenter of Shownieuws and Sterren Dansen Op Het IJs and in the 'docu-soap' Over De Vloer together with his colleague Gordon. And then there were of course the successes of the Toppers,
… together with the same Gordon and René Froger. Make Me Crazy is his first solo CD since Nostalgia (2004), on which he sang English-language pop classics. This is again a completely Dutch-language album, with mainly songs about 'the nightlife with its nightly adventures in it', and of course love.
