Inara George, daughter of the regretted Little Feat frontman Lowell George, managed to remain virtually unknown herself, although her CD with Greg Kurstin - The Bird And The Bee (2007) - managed to generate some attention. Although the audience and press at that festival seemed to mostly end up with westcoast legend Parks, it is indeed Inara's voice and songs on which this album is based. Parks' recognizable orchestral arrangements give the songs a clear added value, creating an atmosphere that is comparable to the other album on which Parks collaborated: Ys by Joanna Newson. (MS)more
