It must have been difficult for Marco Borsato to lose his grip on his life as the most successful Dutch singer of recent years. The unpleasant circumstances in Borsato's business life have left their mark on his new CD Dromen Durven Delen. Due to the annoying bankruptcy of his company, the singer seems to have been pointed to what really matters: passion for music. The man who can best describe
… Borsato's feelings and put words in his mouth has been John Ewbank for many years. Ewbank writes in the beautiful Branden Aan De Zon: 'I cannot rest on a bed of gold… on a bed of wood I close my eyes with a smile on my face'. Borsato may be more or less on black seed, but with this new collection of songs he sings a fortune together again. Hopefully he will continue to do so with songs as intimate and stately as those on Dromen Durven Delen. Because with this collection all three dimensions belong to Marco again. The king returns and claims his throne. (JE)more
