In a log cabin somewhere in Michigan, a trio called Breathe Owl Breathe makes beautiful roots music. While a dog that listens to three names watches and lets himself be photographed for the artwork, the three reach great heights. In addition to the two above, drummer Trevor Hobbs is also a multi-instrumentalist. But even though marimbas, keyboards and banjos are used, they don't get in the way of vocals. This remains an American indie folk record that largely revolves around the lyrics. The snow on the cover may give you shivers, but in the cabin above all pleasant music has been made.
