Rick Holland is a British poet, writer and thinker who hardly appears in print but prefers to link his work to music and other art forms. Producer, musician, sound architect and visual artist Brian Eno, who has been stretching pop music since the 1970s by adding new, often multimedia dimensions to it, you could call the Dutch dream partner. … the installation Speaker Flowers in 2010. Drums Between The Bells is their first CD collaboration. Dutch poetry is recited by several voices and supported by soundscapes, alternated with trip-hop-like rhythmic pieces. The poems dominate the music and sometimes the often loaded and baroque rolling sentences also seem a bit too lavish. The music thus only becomes the decor of the (too) modest Eno. (MR)more
