More than a decade after the release of their latest album Wake Up And Smell The Coffee (2001), The Cranberries have joined forces again, resulting in the album Roses. This record can certainly be called a comeback album, because in recent years singer Dolores O'Riordan, around whom the band was formed, has mainly worked solo. Roses is a typical Cranberries record that builds on the success of the
… nineties. The band is still influenced by the music of typical indie bands like The Smiths. For loyal fans of the Irish band, the record will be a feast of recognition. Highlights on the album are the infectious Tomorrow, the reggae-like Raining In My Heart, the strong Losing My Mind and the remarkable Schizophrenic Playboys about special sexual experiences.
