Talk A Good Game is Kelly Rowland's fourth solo album and a record on which she reveals herself. Not only on the CD cover, but also in terms of content. The track Dirty Laundry, for example, is about the period after the breakup of Destiny's Child. Beyoncé's star was on the rise, while Kelly struggled with an abusive boyfriend and jealous feelings towards her ex-colleague. This is one of the most
… interesting moments on the record. This time less house influences and a lot of old-fashioned R&B. The sultry ballads and danceable, uptempo tracks are a bit off balance, which makes Talk A Good Game more of a listening album. The problem here is that Rowland isn't a rock solid songwriter.
