The Dutch band Matt Winson was formed when singer Matthijs Steur and guitarist Pieter van Winsen met at a party. The folk music of Matt Winson, on the other hand, sounds more like the soundtrack you put on after a successful party. It is nice to relax with the quiet songs that form the debut album Woodfalls. The rhythm of Van Winsen's banjo, assisted by his drumming brother Thomas, propels the music
… comfortably. The unctuous trumpet by Magnuss Baugis provides fine decorations. The songs were recorded in the famous Wisseloord Studios under the direction of Frederic Gervais. This producer discovered the band himself and made a great effort to help his protégés on their way. Fans of and for example, and there are quite a few, should definitely give Woodfalls a chance.
