In 1994, Primal Scream was at a dead end. Three years earlier the group had broken through to a wide audience with , but the band was reluctant to follow up. Primal Scream then re-recorded the songs, resulting in the album . 25 years after the release of that album, Primal Scream decides to rerelease the original Memphis sessions.
