This album contains, as the title suggests, 13 French songs. Hintjes wrote eleven songs himself, mostly in collaboration with others. Two songs are by others: Le Bon Dieu by Jacques Brel and Comme à Ostende by Léo Ferré. The material on this CD is all very emphatic and mid tempo.
