The Good Will Out, Britpop band Embrace's debut album, is a huge hit in England. The record entered there at number one on the album chart. At first hearing, the music of the band around brothers Danny and Richard McNamara is not that special. The sixties and seventies influences and the similarities with Oasis and The Verve are clearly present. A downside is the not always consistent vocals of
… Danny McNamara. However, it is the songs that make The Good Will Out a very striking CD. The band excels in the beautiful ballads Fireworks and The Good Will Out and pop songs such as Higher Sights and Retread. Embrace rivals Oasis with the grandiose roars All You Good People, Come Back To What You Know and One Big Family. (WvdZ)more
