The ten-part concert series Symphonica In Rosso that Marco Borsato held in the Gelredome Stadium in the autumn of 2006 can only be summed up in superlatives. From light show to orchestra, it is all equally impressive. The audience dressed in red for the occasion fits perfectly into the decor. That the singer himself appears somewhat dull in this colorful setting, will not have been the intention.
Accompanied by a 40-piece orchestra, Borsato brings a mix of old hits and new songs. His Italian medley in particular comes out well. The guest appearances of Ali B, Andrea Bocelli and Lucie Silvas are nice, but a bit predictable. With Symphonica In Rosso, the Netherlands' most popular singer presents a tightly directed show 'full of passion, dynamics and musical passion', as he describes it himself. His craftsmanship in particular is admired.more
