… is mainly because of Hughes whose voice sounds unprecedentedly good for a man who was addicted to drugs for years but who has to vent that in every song with a lot of high-pitched screams. His wild and expired rock star motor skills also seem unintentionally comical. Bonamassa stands next to this seemingly cool (usually with sunglasses) as a cartoonish guitar hero with a screeching and finger-fast, but just a bit too long solo in every song. A sleek rendition of the Deep Purple classic Burn is a treat but, like most of the material and presentation of this supergroup, is over the top. (MR)more
