Robert Plant recorded the album Band Of Joy (2010) in country capital Nashville and returned to it for the performance on this DVD. It looks like coming home for the English singer and his American backing band. The rootsy music is a perfect match for the stately ballroom of the War Memorial Auditorium. At the request of the singer, the audience is not in the plush, something that benefits the lively
… reactions of the audience. The spectators go completely crazy when the company uses a number of classic songs from Plants ex-group Led Zeppelin. Plant doesn't always feel like warming up those old songs, but with the acoustic approach of his backing band he breathes new life into this material in a unique way. The four Zep songs are a beautiful final piece of an entertaining concert. (PdK)more
