Peter Tosh (real name: Winston McIntosh) formed together with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer, the earliest incarnation of The Wailers. With the legendary reggae group they broke early seventies internationally. Yet Tosh went solo in 1976. He fell to his militant lyrics in songs like apartheid, Legalize It (about marijuana) and Fight On. Partly thanks to the Rolling Stones (Tosh 'albums released on
… their label and he cared for the program during one of their tours) knew the singer steadily more audiences in America and Europe to achieve. His life was cut short when he was brutally murdered on September 11, 1987 in his own home.more
