The Dutch jazz pianist Pim Jacobs was born as William Bernard Jacobs in Hilversum on October 29, 1934. He became famous with his Pim Jacobs Trio, which played included Wim Overgaauw and Peter Ypma. His brother, the renowned double bassist and producer Ruud Jacobs was part of the trio. This group accompanied many American jazz musicians such as Wes Montgomery and Stan Getz.
