That Deschannel has a beautiful carrying voice and Ward can make beautiful arrangements here, is once again clear on songs like Stay Awhile (Dusty Springfield), Unchained Melody (Righteous Brothers) and We'll Meet Again (Vera Lynn). It's no secret that She & Him is hugely influenced by evergreens from this era and this CD is a nice way to hear where the roots of their sound lie.
