Along with his studio album Om Van Te Dromen, Frans Bauer also releases a DVD with the same title. This time Bauer left for South Africa, and the viewer is taken on his ten-day 'dream trip, for a look at the wild animals, the people and the beautiful nature'. The South Africa on this DVD is the South Africa from the shiny brochures of the travel agency: the sun is shining, the nature is beautiful
… and the people are hospitable and nice. And let's not forget the extremely pompous, luxurious hotel that is more reminiscent of an Efteling attraction, and where, to Bauer's surprise, you can already get baked potatoes in the morning. Of course Frans visits an 'old-fashioned African village', where they get to know the African culture and sing a song with dancing residents (hopefully they got paid well), Frans goes looking for gold and on safari, but also a game of golf is not missing. The DVD contains three songs that cannot be found on the CD. (IV)more
