The American rock band 3 Doors Down became known with the song Kryptonite, a hit in 2000. After that song, from the album The Better Life, came the album Away From The Sun (2002), of which the single Here Without You was the success of Kryptonite surpassed. The third album Seventeen Days is full of heavy rock and especially (too) many soft ballads. The band can hardly distinguish itself from colleagues
… Nickelback, Live and Creed. With the stadium rock song Let Me Go they play very safe, complete with chorus texts like 'you love me but you don't know who I am'. The record was recorded in just seventeen days, which explains the title. Maybe next time they should work on it a little longer. (JdD)more
