The French trio Télépopmusik was founded in 1997 by Fabrice Dumont, Stephan Haeri and Christophe Hetier, three musicians who had suffered a serious burnout from other bands and wanted something different. The sound of Télépopmusik most resembles the dream pop of Autour De Lucie, Dumont's previous band. Beautiful floating music that makes you forget you are on earth. Alienating sound fragments
… and instruments drawn from their original context provide the surrealistic interpretation of the dream. The orchestral parts of the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra reinforce this. Musically, Télépopmusik lies between the space in Air's music and the fragility of Portishead, but with a firm classical injection. Angel Milk is like mother's milk from heaven and, with the exception of an incidentally rapping Frenchman, an ideal CD to forget all your daily worries. Saves another psychiatrist. (AD)more
