Where she mainly sang in Icelandic on her first two albums, Arnalds has been since (2013) switched to English. What has remained is her special use of voice and singing, and the way in which she manages to give even the shortest words extra syllables. Musically, Palme's influences range from folk and jazz to indie and electronica, resulting in very beautiful songs like Turtledove, Soft Living and especially Patience. (IV)more
