Tangerine Dream was and vice versa. He founded this influential electronic group in Berlin in 1967. Froese has mainly made solo albums under this name during the last decades. He still performed live with a band. It is striking that, shortly before his death in 2014, he recruited the Berlin techno producer Ulrich Schnauss. Special is the only new song 4.00pm Session. This sounds entirely in the atmosphere of 1970s albums such as and , with signature pulsating synthesizers and space sounds. It goes to show that the Tangerine Dream formula is a timeless one. Only Froese had probably come up with a more mythological title for it. (MR)more
