Fever Dream sounds like it's a matter of make or break. That seems crazy, considering that Of Monsters And Men is the best-selling act in Iceland - including . But artistically it does make sense. The five had a huge hit in 2012 with the folky Little Talks, but followed the accompanying album by the flat festival entertainment (2015). High time for a musical rehabilitation. And with this third
… album it largely comes. In their own words influenced by widely respected acts such as and , Fever Dream sounds a lot more honest than its miserable predecessor. It is a pity that the band has apparently put themselves under such pressure that it gets a bit forced and top heavy here and there. Fortunately, lighter, more upbeat songs like Alligator, Wild Roses and Wars offer just enough counterbalance. (RME)more
