Successor to the less successful album San Francisco Days. Forever Blue is filled with melancholic sounding songs, which are comparable to earlier successes like Blue Hotel and Wicked Game. The songs Changed Your Mind and The End Of Everything are good examples of this. It also features acoustic ballads such as Somebody's Crying, Graduation Day, Don't Leave Me On My Own and the title track Forever
… Blue. These songs sound more convincing than the more uptempo guitar songs such as the opener Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing and the country-like Goin 'Nowhere. Besides his regular band, Isaak is accompanied by Gregg Arreguin (guitar) and Pete Escovedo (percussion).more
