… apart. The singer of 4 Non Blondes, Linda Perry, who was described as a new Janis Joplin at the time, has now released the solo album "In flight". To call her a new Janis seems a bit exaggerated. But that her voice radiates the necessary power and drive was already clear when she was part of 4 Non Blondes. It doesn't get really wild on her debut album "In flight". This album, which contains no real hit singles, is filled with 12 quiet, sometimes melancholic sounding acoustic pop songs without real highs and lows, which are certainly worth listening to even without hit sensitivity. Guitarist Bill Bottrell, who could also be heard on Sheryl Crow's debut album, collaborated with veteran Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane, Starship) and Lisa Germano.more
