This CD contains unique recordings from The Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and John Lennon. The recordings, which date back to 10 and 11 December 1968, were planned to be broadcast on television by the BBC a few days later. For reasons that are unclear, however, this never happened and they have remained on the shelf until now. The CD contains unique live versions
… of "No expectations", "You can't always get what you want", "Sympathy for the devil" and "Salt of the earth" by The Rolling Stones. Even more interesting for collectors is John Lennon's song "Yer blues" accompanied by the Dirty Mac, consisting of Eric Clapton (guitar), Keith Richards (bass!) And The Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell. Marianne Faithfull sings, Accompanied by The Stones, "Something better", The Who can be heard with "A quick one while he's away", Taj Mahal with "Ain't that a lot of love" and Jethro Tull with "Song for Jeffrey". Also nice is the conversation, apestoned, between Mick Jagger and John Lennon between songs. A unique document!more
