The theme of Gorillaz, a virtual band of cartoon characters created by and Jamie Hewlett, is worked out in a fantastic way on Phase Two - Slowboat To Hades. The DVD contains movies, video clips, live performances and other fun stuff (mainly from the second album ). Phase Two is designed like a house: three floors (and the garden) with different rooms, and there are things to see in every room.
Navigating is sometimes a bit difficult, with a flashlight you walk through the rooms and corridors of the building that is completely built in typical Gorillaz style, but once you get used to it, there is plenty to discover. Like the MTV Cribs episode, in which bassist Murdoc shows the MTV camera crew the house. Or a performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards, where the animated Gorillaz take the stage with . Nicely done and often very funny. Besides the DVD, Phase Two also contains a CD-ROM with games and screensavers. (IV)more
