'Live in the studio' Beth Hart and her band perform the songs from her 2007 album 37 Days in chronological order. After the pumping piano rocker Good As It Gets, the entire record comes by, whereby it is noticeable that the band does not drop any stitches and rocks as if the life of the band members depends on it. … note. Between the songs the band is interviewed and short impressions of the rehearsals are shown. There is a friendly atmosphere, but it is Hart who is firmly in control. Live DVDs are rarely completely live these days, and unfortunately that is also true for this DVD. The observant listener occasionally hears background vocalists who are not on screen. There appears to be the necessary extra overdubs afterwards. Too bad, because it deprives us of the chance to experience Beth Hart and her band in their bare essence. (MS)more
