Toots Thielemans was the first to introduce the chromatic harmonica into jazz and in fact he has not had any real competition since the 1950s. Toots plays the harmonica with the dexterity of a saxophonist. Pianist Kenny Werner played with a number of famous jazz artists throughout the 1980s and 1990s, from and to and . One of the strongest connections, however, was with , with whom he made
… several albums. He recently made two new albums: A Delicate Balance with and and , featuring and . Thanks to the manager of Toots, these two virtuosos came together for 13 numners including medleys of , , and music.
