The sources of inspiration were the surrealism of Quentin Tarantino's films, obscure collections of vinyl, old westerns, film noir and spy thrillers, lava lamps and boogaloo. Saxophonist Maarten Hogenhuis plays from floating exotic to steamy swing, Folkert Oosterbeek's organ growls and screeches at the right moment and the rhythm section with Thomas Rolff (bass) and Felix Schlarmann (drums) crackles imperturbably.
