The alternative metal band Papa Roach broke through in 2000 with the single Last Resort, in which singer Coby Dick raged against his parents and society in general in an unmistakable way. … Roach has enlisted the help of famous rock producer Brendan O'Brien (Train, Soundgarden, Korn, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam). He made sure that the sound of Lovehatetragedy is rock solid. The songwriting talent of Jacoby Shaddix (as Coby Dick wants to be called these days) and his men is nothing to write home about and the eleven screaming songs, that are in style between postgrunge and nu-metal, go in one ear and out the other (very loudly).
